Summary of Our Commitment
Compress Video does not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your video files, audio tracks, or personal metadata. All processing takes place 100% locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple Silicon hardware.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Unlike online web conversion tools, our iOS application performs all compression tasks directly inside your device's isolated application sandbox:
- No Video/Audio Content: Your video recordings and audio streams never leave your device.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or physical location.
- No Photo Library Tracking: Access to your Apple Photos library is granted exclusively through the native iOS photo picker dialog and is used solely to load the video you choose to compress.
2. On-Device Video Processing
The application uses native iOS frameworks, including AVFoundation and VideoToolbox. When you select a video for compression:
- The file is read locally from your device storage or temporary cache.
- The hardware encoder processes the video frames directly on the Apple processor (GPU / Neural Engine / Hardware Video Decoder).
- The output file is written to your local sandbox temporary directory, from where you can save it back to your Photos library or share it via the standard iOS system share sheet.
- Temporary files are automatically discarded or overwritten upon completion.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
All financial transactions, subscriptions (Weekly, Annual, Lifetime), and purchase validations are processed directly by Apple through StoreKit 2 and the App Store.

4. Diagnostic Logs & Crash Reports
If you have opted in to share diagnostic and usage data with app developers through your iOS device settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide us with anonymized crash stack traces. These reports contain no personally identifiable data and no video content; they are used strictly to fix bugs and improve performance.
5. Third-Party Services
The application contains no third-party tracking SDKs, advertising networks, or social media data trackers.
6. Children's Privacy
Because the app does not collect any personal information whatsoever, it does not knowingly collect or solicit data from children under the age of 13.
